Wild Bergamot is a showy perennial featuring clusters of lavender, pink or white flowers. The leaves are aromatic, and used to make mint tea.
Wild Bergamot is easy to grow, and often forms large colonies. It grows on wide range of soils and spreads easily under optimal growing conditions.
All Monarda species are susceptible to powdery mildew. Good air circulation and good drainage help prevent it.
